Alps & Bathing Lake - Pure Nature in Real Time Located in the midst of the Gailtal Alps on the southern side of the Alps in Carinthia, the fjord-like Lake Weissensee conveys a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. Mountain bike trails with a total length of 160 km lead directly from the lake into the surrounding mountains and open up breathtaking views of the turquoise blue water.
Directly at the lake, numerous rest and refreshment facilities entice you, on the managed alpine pastures, Weissensee fish is served as well as regional delicacies. And afterwards, the jump into the up to 24 degrees warm lake water from the in-house bathing beach is tempting. Tip: The "Große Seerunde" is probably the most demanding, but also one of the most beautiful mountain bike trails in Naturpark Weissensee. With a total length of about 31 km and almost 800 meters of altitude, the signposted bike trail offers breathtaking views of the shimmering turquoise Weissensee.
