Baking for everyone with the master baker
HIGHLIGHT-Events
Bake your own natural sourdough bread with bread craftsman Thomas.
Thomas Matzitz's great-grandfather was already baking bread with natural sourdough in 1902. When Thomas made his acquaintance with Slow Food in 2015 and rediscovered the art of baking bread with sourdough, beautiful partnerships with other Slow Food members in the region lead to beautiful new Slow Food inspired products. Today, the family bakery not only offers traditionally produced natural sourdough bread, but also hand rolls, corn baguettes made from Gailtal white country corn, or the special Loncium baguette with brewing malt from the nearby Loncium brewery. As his daughter already appreciates the taste of quality baking goods, the baker family would like to show this beautiful craft to other children. This summer they offer baking workshops for adults with children, where the youngest can learn to bake bread with natural sourdough. Extended bread baking classes for adults are available by appointment.
