Reinterpret Carinthian home cooking with the master chefs of Gasthof Grünwald
“Krendeln” - the act of artfully closing typical Carinthian dumplings ("Nudln"), which reminds of crocheted lace, is practiced with virtuosity here in the Gasthof Grünwald in the middle of St. Daniel. Along with the production of the 20 or so different fillings, the high art of “Krendeln” is demonstrated as part of a Slow Food Experience. You learn how to perfectly “krendel” Carinthian dumplings from the two master chef siblings, who throughout the year produce around 50,000 Carinthian dumplings as a two-man kitchen manufactory. The annual highlight is the Nudl-Kudl-Mudl in October, where the many different flavors and dumpling fillings can be tasted at the event. At the end of your cooking workshop, of course, an extensive tasting of the famous handmade Carinthian Nudln awaits.
