Help the Reed - Together for an Intact Lakeshore
Non-native plants such as Himalayan balsam, Canadian goldenrod, and Japanese knotweed pose a significant challenge in the Weissensee Nature Park.
These fast-growing, undemanding plants quickly colonize their preferred habitat and overgrow the native vegetation.
We have set ourselves the goal of combatting these non-native plants, at least in the lakeshore area, significantly. Learn more about the impacts of invasive neophytes and help us contain these "aliens".
For the active help, there will be a cozy Carinthian snack in nature.
